Little Black Dress LBD
For the past couple of weeks since the fourteenth of February in class we have been working on the signature LBD aka the Little Black Dress. From researching information on the LBD and buying a pattern to make one first hand has been an experience like none other. For starters cutting out the tissue paper pattern was a tad bit of a pain. However as I got the hang of it the pattern cutting and pinning of the pattern to the MUSLIN we are first starting off to use before we actually buy the fabric for the final version. I will most likely to purchase black satin with a black print or pattern. Pinning the tissue paper to the Muslin was a nice challenge (making the pattern stay flat and not bubbling) and I feel that I tackled it well. We also learned how to pin and mark off (with a piece of tailors’ chalk) where the small (BLUE) and large (YELLOW) holes were. I forgot what they were called, however I also learned how to mark where the pleats were. WPPS
