Toronto shoe museum

When we arrived at the shoe museum we were greeted by our tour guide and paid our discount price of six dollars. After which we headed up stairs to the main exhibit. It was a very interesting tour to say the least and made me wish I would have brought my camera to snap some photos of all the pieces they had on display. The main room of the exhibit walked you through a timeline of the evolution of shoes based on how they were used and created for certain purposes. At the end of the main room was a special celebrity shoe exhibit with a just put up Elizabeth Taylor pair on display. After seeing the main room we were brought to another room that held the sock exhibit and lucky for us we came just before they were planning on taking it down. It was cool and neat to see why socks were created as well as how. They even had a little set up table for kids to have a go at it making socks. The gift shop had plenty of items like a high heel shoe shaped keychain and enough reading material for a whole summer. I was impressed with sneaker books yet wished they had one on high-end sneakers from the likes of Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Gucci, etc.
